Alpha Chi Omega's philanthropy is Domestic Violence Awareness.
At the heart of Alpha Chi Omega is our commitment to community involvement. Our dedication to Domestic Violence Awareness is evident in each sister's compassion and commitment to this cause. We are dedicated to creating and maintaining educational programs for victims of domestic violence on a national and community-based level., as well as the women of Alpha Chi Omega.
Our chapter also has the privilege of working with the End Violent Encounters (EVE), a place in our community that serves as a domestic violence shelter. It is located in Lansing and serves as a nonprofit that provides supportive services to survivors of domestic and sexual violence, stalking, and elder abuse.
As Alpha Chi Omega we stand with you, we hear you, and we will listen.

As Vice President of Philanthropy for Alpha Chi Omega at Michigan State University, I am proud to lead initiatives that reflect our chapter’s deep commitment to supporting survivors of domestic violence. Through meaningful events, community partnerships, and campus-wide engagement, we strive to raise both awareness and funds for organizations like End Violent Encounters in East Lansing. Philanthropy in Alpha Chi Omega is more than just fundraising, it’s about creating a supportive environment, educating others, and making a lasting impact. I am constantly inspired by our members’ passion and dedication to making a difference in the lives of others!

Volley Against Violence
Every year we hold our "Volley Against Violence" philanthropy event where we have fraternity members, and non greek life members compete against each other in a volleyball tournament! This is our biggest philanthropy event where we hand out purple ribbons and educate all attendees on Domestic Violence Awareness. The entrance fee helps raise money for the victims of domestic violence.
Mr. Alpha Chi
"Mr. Alpha Chi" is another philanthropy event we hold in the fall where contestants in the fraternity life compete for the title of "Mr. Alpha Chi." The event is a talent show with judges! The proceeds of this event go directly to MSU Safe Place on MSU Campus, which is a program of Center for Survivors that addresses relationship violence and stalking.
Pie an Alpha Chi
Get ready for a sweet (and slightly messy) way to support a serious cause. Pie an Alpha Chi is Alpha Chi Omega’s signature philanthropy event at Michigan State University, bringing laughter, community, and purpose together in one unforgettable afternoon.
In this crowd-favorite fundraiser, students and community members donate to pie a participating Alpha Chi in the face—all in good fun and for a powerful cause. Each whipped cream splatter helps raise awareness and funds for End Violent Encounters (EVE), a local shelter and advocacy organization that provides critical services to survivors of domestic violence and stalking across the Greater Lansing Area.
While the event is lighthearted, its mission is deeply meaningful. By turning fun into action, Pie an Alpha Chi helps spark conversations about healthy relationships and shines a spotlight on the resources available to those in need.
Denim Day
Denim Day occurs on the last Wednesday of April coinciding with Sexual Assault Awareness Month. This day of action and awareness is an event in which sisters of Alpha Chi Omega wears denim to combat victim blaming and educate others about sexual violence.
